The 2nd Workshop on IEEE P2772 and IEEE P2747 International Standards Drafted by Smart Energy Successfully Held in Xi' an
From March 31 to April 1, 2019, the 2nd Working Group Meeting (“WG meeting” for short) for discussing IEEE international standard was held in Xi’an. It was mainly focused on the IEEE P2772 Test Method for Energy Loss of Overhead Conductors drafted by Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “Smarter Energy”, stock code: 600869) and IEEE P2747 Guidelines for the Evaluation of Energy Conservation Technology for Electric Power Fittings co-drafted by Smarter Energy.
More than 40 experts and representatives attended the meeting. They were from IEEE China Office, State Grid Zhejiang Huadian Equipment Testing Institute, Xi’an Jiaotong University, State Grid Global Energy Interconnection Research Institute, Tianjin Research Institute of Electric Science, Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company, the Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid Heilongjiang Electric Power Company Limited, Tianjin University, China Jiliang University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Yonggu Group, Zuoyi Power Equipment Co., Ltd., MELEC and 3M Company.
Xu Jing, an investor, Senior Director of Smarter Energy and Deputy General Manager of the Cable Company, Wang Kangxin, Senior Advisor of Smarter Energy Cable; Jiang Da, an investor, Deputy Director of Power Cable R&D Department of Smarter Energy cable industry, Tian Chongjun, an investor and Director Assistant of Environment-friendly Cable R&D Department of Smarter Energy cable industry, Liu Huajun, an investor, Deputy Director Engineer in charge of standard management of Scientific Research Management Department of Smarter Energy cable industry, and Xia Feifei, an investor, Deputy Chief Engineer in charge of R & D of Power Cable R&D Department of Smarter Energy cable industry also attended the meeting.

Xu Jing, as Chairman of the Working Group on the international standard of IEEEP 2772 Test Method for Energy Loss of Overhead Conductors, introduced the patent policy of IEEE, the task achievement of the first WG meeting on the standard, and the preparation of the first edition of the draft on the standard. Besides, the agenda and minutes of the first WG meeting were deliberated and approved on the meeting. Experts and leaders warmly discussed the international standard of the IEEE P2772 Test Method for Energy Loss of Overhead Conductors and the technical indicators and requirements, division of tasks and the work of the WG at the next stage for the first edition of the draft of IEEE P2747 Guidelines for the Evaluation of Energy Conservation Technology for Electric Power Fittings working group meeting standard.
